“The future depends on what we do
in the present.” These are some of the great words by Mahatma Gandhi, the civil
rights leader who sent India to independence from England. This quote makes me
understand that Gandhi believes that before you start to think abut what
happens in the future, you have to think about what you do in the present,
because the present creates your future. He believed that instead of thinking
about what is yet to come, live in the moment, think about what is happening
around you, don’t think ahead. This is one way of thinking that I agree with,
many people can worry too much about the future instead of concentrating on the
present, which is more important then is yet to come. I can understand why
people worry about the future though, because they don’t know what it will have
to come, or what will happen when it comes. This is a one of lots of great
quotes by a very inspirational man in history, which makes you think of life in
a totally different way.
